The India Burma Special Interest Group covers all aspects of the Honorable East India Company (HEIC) and Indian Armies during the Victorian period and up to 1914. In the interests of continuity and accuracy information is also available both pre and post this period where it is clearly part of the matter under study.
Emphasis is on Indian formations and units however the British Army in India is also covered.. Subject matter includes campaigns, specific battles, locations, unit history, uniforms, arms & equipment, titles and in fact anything of military interest.
In the past the Group has published a newsletter and arranged visits however the level of interest is low at the moment and the Group currently acts as an information service through the Secretary who is happy to answer queries or establish contact with someone who can.
